About

Jessica Freeburg is an author whose poetry and short stories have been published in various magazines including Children’s Playmate, Humpty Dumpty, and Thriving Family Magazine.  Her young adult paranormal/gothic novel LIVING IN SHADOWS was released June, 2015. FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL: The Story of the Holocaust and MONSTERS OF THE MIDWEST: True Tales of Bigfoot, Werewolves, and other legendary Creatures both released August 2016. COLLAPSE AND CHAOS: The Story of the 2010 Earthquake in Haiti will release in January 2017. Additionally she has edited and contributed to anthologies including NIGHT VISIONS an anthology featuring stories inspired by paranormal investigations. She is represented by Dawn Frederick, Owner and Agent at Red Sofa Literary.

To blend her love of writing with her passion for history and the paranormal, Jessica founded Ghost Stories, Inc. – a group of authors, illustrators and film makers who visit historic locations and perform paranormal investigations for creative inspiration. Her work in the paranormal field has led her to become a paranormal news correspondent for the wildly popular paranormal radio program, Darkness Radio.

She’s at home in Minnesota with her husband, three young children, their mischievous Vizsla named Indiana Jones, their gecko Allosauros, and a variety of other critters her children bring home and name (presently including hermit crabs, caterpillars in various stages of metamorphoses, frogs, toads and a water beetle who can throw small twigs in his jar – impressive for such a little guy).

Jessica currently serves as the Assistant Regional Advisor for the Minnesota Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
